We are a non-for-profit community based organization serving Eastern Kansas. We provide a continuum of care ... thrive at home, home health, palliative care, PACE, adult day care, hospice and grief and loss services. Volunteers are a very important part of our work - in the Lawrence area, they provide support for activities and chores at our PACE Center. Additionally, they visit our hospice patients in their private homes or facilities.
The mission of Midland Care is: "Meeting individual needs through innovative healthcare solutions." Our Vision is "Touching more lives through excellence in care and service." We began in 1978 as a hospice organization, staffed by volunteers. Through the years, responding to community needs, we have expanded our services to include office locations in Topeka, Ottawa and Lawrence - an inpatient hospice house in Topeka, and PACE Centers in Topeka and Lawrence. In 2013, we purchased an Assisted Living Facility and Home Plus in Valley Falls and Indiana Place - a home for our PACE clients. In 2015 we opened a grief center in Topeka known as "The Center for Hope and Healing" and in 2017 we opened a PACE Center in Kansas City.
